This Saturday, July 19th at 2PM EST I'll be interviewed and selling my original art live on the Comic Art Fans Youtube Channel. The link to get a reminder and also watch live is here. For the sale I've selected work from the very beginning of my career as an inker to drawings I created over the last couple weeks. Some of the highlights are pages from The Thing, Power Pack, Plastic Man, and Splash Brannigan! Power Pack was my favorite inking gig at Marvel Comics. Penciller Jon Bogdanove's sensitive handling of the children, with a masterful use of expression and body language made it a delight.

Jack Cole's Plastic Man is my favorite superhero comic. Cole was a genius at invention, and it was an honor to pay homage him in the mini-series I did with Phil Foglio, Doug Rice, and John Nyberg.

Alan Moore and I co-created Splash Brannigan. Alan devised the concept and wrote the script. I designed the character, and made a couple suggestions. Alan's original idea was the Splash wore a Flash Gordon type costume, as sported a rapidograph pen 'gun'which he wore in a holster. And, like Felix the Cat in the silent cartoons, would use his pen to do things like draw a window on a wall through which he could then escape. My suggestion was that since he was made of 3 dimensional ink, Splash was the pen.

Even if you don't want to own any of the art, come join us on Saturday for a live and lively discussion.
